My friend started a tour guide business on Iriomote Island, Okinawa, Japan in 2023, and asked me to create a website for his business. Since many travelers research not only through social media but also through websites when choosing a tour guide, having a well-designed website is essential for attracting potential customers on the island.
The website is for showing their tour menu and let people make a reservation easily through the website. Also the client wanted to show the concept of their tour.
For this tour guide business website, I prioritized visually compelling imagery to highlight the unique atmosphere and experiences the tours offer. I carefully selected a color scheme that enhances the photographs while evoking a natural and inviting feel.
To create a more intuitive user experience, I streamlined the tour menu into two simple categories: 1-day tours and short tours. This allows users to quickly find a tour that fits their schedule without feeling overwhelmed. The result is a website that not only stands out visually but also enhances user engagement and conversion.
The tour guide company has got so many customers through the website. The friend told me that several customers said they had compared several websites and had chosen the company because they liked the website I created. Also, I have created Japanese and English version of the website and the English website has got good position on search result.
